Hand carved wood door panel with lacquered finish which would have been in a door or window. Probably dates back to pre 1900.
The carving typically depicts a scene from a well known Chinese historical event such as those recorded in the story of The Three Kingdoms.
Faces have all lost original colour lacquer which would probably have been white.
