This pair of Chinese hand carved wood and lacquered door panels exhib the high level of skill of the craftsman. They probably date back to pre 1900. The lacquer remains in excellent condition. The carvings typically depict scenes from a well known Chinese historical event such as those recorded in the story of The Three Kingdoms.
